Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. Chris and Karen are fantastic hosts and cannot do enough for you. My son plays for Torquay United and lives a long way from home so we don't get to see him very often, Karen allowed him to come and join us for breakfast even though he never stayed at the baytree. The Briarfields was extremely clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The owners were friendly and welcoming and made you feel very at ease. There was also a vast selection for breakfast cooked to perfection and the hosts were very accommodating with special requests. Both my husband and I would definitely recommend Briarfields if you are planning a stay in Torquay.

Every single thing was spot on, beautifully clean, the room, decor, the staff, even breakfast. Nice and close to the sea front, town centre and the unmissable Kent caverns. The hotel generally was clean and tidy and the breakfasts were homecooked and delicious. - The owners of The Charterhouse made us feel very welcome. The house is in a great location for Torquay and near to Cockington Country Park. The hotel is great and you feel right at home in a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast room was very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent. We couldn't have asked for more. We will be booking again.
