I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable.

The staff were excellent and made you feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. The Hotel was furnished well and very comfortable, lovely gardens to relax in if the weather was good and a very nice heated indoor pool. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice and plenty of it. The Fernbank delivers a high quality of service and comfort and we would certainly go back.

Probably the best B&B I have stayed in within the UK (and I have been to a lot). Very friendly owners and lovely clean room! We stayed in the Captain's Room which was nicely decorated with very large bathroom. The room had an ironing board, hair dryer, coffee and tea maker, and pretty much any toiletries one could need. My wife and I chose this hotel for a 4 nights stay based on excellent reviews, location and value for money ( discounted room price offer). We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and views across the bay were great. Shanklin village is a short easy walk away, as is the beach and seafront.

We were offered an upgrade on arrival to a premium room at a attractive price that was well worth it as the room was my larger and had a very comfy sofa. Staff were very friendly and wanted to help. Location was very good and only a short drive to the beech, easily walkable but would be uphill on way back.
Will stay again if we go back to the Isle of Wight.
