it was very clean in our rooms also a lovely sea view that we asked for towels changed everyday breakfast was well organised and very polite staff come round tables to ask you if you wanted tea or coffee and toast then you helped yourself to hot breakfast or you could order omelettes or kippers when you go in all in all this is a very good hotel

My wife and I chose this hotel for a 4 nights stay based on excellent reviews, location and value for money ( discounted room price offer). We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and views across the bay were great. Shanklin village is a short easy walk away, as is the beach and seafront.

Beautiful, quiet location high above the town of Shanklin, but only a5min walk to the middle of town and great restaurants. Hotel was clean,well presented, staff were very welcomming, helpful and a greatselection for breakfast. The newly refurbished hotel has very comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, though rather quick service on our first night, followed by rather slow the next night. This is probably mostly about being a new staff team, and will no doubt be resolved in the next few weeks. -

This hotel is fabulous. Very clean, beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and lots of lovely touches. Big China mugs and a teapot, soft dressing gowns, useful stash of "forgotten to pack" items, iron, mineral water and a little box of mints. I didn't eat breakfast, but others who did said it was very good. My evening meal was excellent although a bit expensive.

Very relaxing stay at the Lakeside Park, all staff were very friendly, room was very comfortable and clean. Spa area also very clean and facilities good. Breakfast was excellent, something for everyone and plenty of it. The dining area was also spotless and the staff were very friendly, even early in the morning. Would definitely stay there again whilst visiting Isle of Wight

Hotel location was convenient with ten minute walk to the.town centre where you can catch any bus to any direction. It was clean and comfortable. The restaurant medina quay served very good meals where staff were more than helpful to cater for a family with.three children under five. -

Our room was lovely, there was 7 in our party so we had three rooms, one of the rooms was a double with kitchen facilities and because no one had used it the previous night we were allowed to use it when we got there, (which was quite early in the morning) which gave us a great base, and allowed us to use facilities, which after travelling several

Wonderful,friendly professional welcome - we had stayed in several places on the Isle of Wight over the course of a week - all advertising themselves as in the same bracket - and Yelf's was the first place to tick all of the boxes. The staff are friendly and welcoming: these people really know what they are doing. Next time I would base myself at Yelf's for the whole week.

Beautiful historic building, stylishly furnished. Sublime scones and jam!Dinner beautifully presented, with touches of brilliance. Friendly 4 star service without pretension, felt more like a private stately home than a hotel. Very hard to leave, will stay longer next time.
