This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes. A tramp in the sun, a swim, a spell in the hot tub outside and then a good meal - what else could you want for your holiday? -

The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The
views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was
nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge
and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two
Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly
as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really
beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

The hotel is located within a 30 minute drive from Lake Windemere and Grasmer without the high prices demanded from these locations. The rooms are excellent and the included breakfast is excellent with a la carte individually cooked dishes. The on site restaurant serves delicious reasonably priced fare for lunch and dinner. -

Trés jolie auberge avec des chambres confortables - I liked how swiftly the staff responded to a problem. Brilliant. Helpfuland kind. I can see the price of this hotel going up to match thequality of the service - We stayed in the cottage, it was very large for 5poeple and homely great facilities and garden. Lovely staff

Very Dog friendly, very welcoming and attentive to all of our needs. Tea and cake in the afternoon of our arrival was a nice touch. Central location made it handy for shops, high level of cleanliness and top spec furniture and fittings. Good beer!

Un hotel très typique et au calme - Le fait de profiter du salon avec l'accès wifi est indéniablement d'ungrand confort. Avec la cheminée et l'empathie du personnel, nous avonspassé un moment très agréable. Merci à l'équipe pour sa gentillesse.Dîner et petit-déjeuner très complets et vraiment excellents.

It was a lovely comfortable and spacious apartment with unexpected little touches like towels, toiletries and tea &coffee making facilities. It was more like staying in a hotel with the freedom of self catering, although you could dine in the hotel across the road if you wished. Also great to be able to take my dog on holiday. -

I found the apartment to be fully equipped, yes the kettle is small but made four cups of tea so no need to winge! The location was great, nice pub which serves food just around the corner.

After reading some negative reviews about this hotel I was really not expecting much at all. How wrong I was. My two children (age 4 & 8) and I stayed for 1 night. The staff were friendly,helpful and lovely with my children. The food was delicious. The offer of £20 for a four course meal and both children ate free meant we could dine in the h

the staff members were awesome
they looked after our requirements of the menu as my wife didn't want what was on the sweet menu, they said no problem. she asked what do you like and they made it happen. wow impressive
the chief was out standing in the presentation and taste of all the food we had.
we really recommend the food top class at reasonable price.
just like to say thank you for making our weekend special
we will be going back
