The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. The Mortal Man is a traditional old man set in beautiful countryside with some lovely walks near by. Everything from the cosy very well decorated room, warm hostess who was extremely helpful in finding activities and transport info. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute away from the lake. Breakfast was very nice and the access to the SPA at the Old McDonald is the cherry on top. We really felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel.

Room 9 was clean with a lovely view to the west.
Bathroom was well sized, clean with modern fittings.
Breakfast was plentiful, good homestyle cooking.

I found Lingwood Lodge to be very clean and comfortable, the
owners/staff were very friendly which means allot when you are on
your own, the room was excellent and the dining room and breakfast were
very good indeed, I had stayed as a stopover on the way back from
Scotland and I will certainly book another room there. Very good indeed.
Also it was within easy reach of the town centre. I wish I had stayed
there on the way to Scotland. The service was excellent throughout and

Everything about the Hotel is first class. From the moment we checked in the staff are so friendly and very professional everything was excellent. The setting is quiet and tranquil with only a short drive to other larger villages, the coast and mountains. The guesthouse was stunning, beautiful interior and very comfortable.
