the hostress, Phillipa (hope I didn't wrongly spell her name) was very kind. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

Very Dog friendly, very welcoming and attentive to all of our needs. Tea and cake in the afternoon of our arrival was a nice touch. Central location made it handy for shops, high level of cleanliness and top spec furniture and fittings. Good beer!

Loads of space in our apartment. The receptionist upgraded us to a larger room for free which was lovely and served our group much better. He also brought us a whole toy box for our daughter!

I am a wheelchair user (complete paraplegic) and found the access to be excellent. I would go as far to say that Meadowcroft is probably one of the best places I've stayed for disabled room facilities. The option to book a disabled room from the website is a very good touch, I usually have to phone ahead to confirm that the room is appropriate for my needs and available, which this function eleviated, if only other sites/hotels did this.
The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean.

The shower was neat because you could program it to the exact temperature and pressure you wanted it. The provided coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate were _sublime_. I came to Penrith for a last minute festival participation and found Norcroft through this site. It is much better value than similar establishments, great breakfasts are made to order each morning and owner Paul bends over backwards to accommodate, he is truly a class act. (He will drive you wherever you need to go if he is available and at a much better rate than the local taxis.)
The place is just off the downtown core and is spotless with nice modern bathrooms. I truly lucked out with this

Everything. The greeting on arrival was warm and friendly and the foodsuperb. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you. Ourroom was beautifully decorated and the bed and pillows were verycomfortable. Good stop-over hotel not far from the motorway. Large comfortable bedroom with meals taken at adjoining restaurant. Meal deals on offer in the evening and excellent breakfast with good choice. Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. Overall excellent value for money.
