  yself and my husband and another couple stayed 1 night and chose this hotel due to the location - close to seascale but the location was beautiful the bar was a typical country inn type, the staff friendly, food was good & the Kamikazi real ale went down well. We love Country Villages we would definitely stay again. - We wanted a real good value pub as a walking base for the weekend, we found one right in the middle of the lakes. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - big thanks. The food was straightforward, good quality and great value. The beer was exceptional and again great value. We loved all the fires and so did our dogs. The rooms we ok, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.

  The room was recently and well-decorated with quality fittings including an ingenious blind. The service was very friendly - I was shown round the hotel and to my room. The service at breakfast was simply excellent. Fabulous bed. Huge bathroom with the best shower in Britain. Dinner was delicious. Lots of soft armchairs to relax in before dinner.   Facilities were great - used the swimming pool every day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent quality food - booked bed and breakfast but after eating in on the 1st night didn't want to go anywhere else. - The Staff were always helpful, it was quiet and anice place to relax, and yet easy to travel to visit the area around.

  The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful. The bar was cosy and the food good and big portions! The room was warm and comfortable. - I couldn't fault anything & the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food they serve was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.
