We stayed in Room 7 which I believe is the smallest double room in the hotel but it was very spacious and comfortable for us - with a large separate bathroom and separate dressing area. The shower was neat because you could program it to the exact temperature and pressure you wanted it. The provided coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate were _sublime_. have been to the Coledale Inn many times for meals over the years but this was our first stay .We found the experience a delight.A wonderful greeting on arrival.A spotlessly clean room-tastefully furnished and nearby residents lounge.A happy place to be and we had a perfect nights sleep.Breakfast was served by friendly staff in the dining room and was very good.We will be booking to go again and will recommend it to all our family and friends.

We stayed in the new Silver Suite - it was extremely comfortable with a most beautiful view across the water.

I stayed here by myself for 2 nights. I had a standard single room, which was just what I need with plenty of space too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilities and some delicious homemade shortbread provided too. I felt very welcome from the minute I stepped through the door, especially as it was the first time I'd stayed away on my own. Everything from the cosy very well decorated room, warm hostess who was extremely helpful in finding activities and transport info. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute away from the lake. Breakfast was very nice and the access to the SPA at the Old McDonald is the cherry on top. Good stop-over hotel not far from the motorway. Large comfortable bedroom with meals taken at adjoining restaurant. Meal deals on offer in the evening and excellent breakfast with good choice. Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. Overall excellent value for money.
