The room was clean and nicely decorated. Excellent service with everything!. The comfort and cleanlines and most importantly the safety of the environment.Conveniently located. Friendly staff. "Two for One" meals. For what we wanted as spectators at the Open Golf it couldn't have been better at the price.Cumfy bed. staff were freindly, althoigh the bar was very busy both at check in and evening meal times. location (proximity to an activity), quiet room, friendly staff. Clean room and comfy bed. meals comfortable bed. Friendliness of staff. room/bed clean and comfortable tv worked and plenty of hot water. The room was very large and the bed comfy.service at breakfast and the breakfast itself. The curtains were a little short and let in a lot of light from the street. Nothing!. No internet access. Difficult to ask questions and get any answers. I also found it extremly noisey due to its position by a busy road.Hairdryer didn't work.difficulty locking room door, instant coffee at breakfast. The staff were very slow when I went to check in but they did apologise. The cockerel was a little annoying as well. As above - the peacock, what a noise all night. The noisy cockerel woke everyone of the group. This is the second time recently that I have stayed there and on both occassions I have been woken at first light by those birds (I am sure they would make an excellent roast?. Felt room for improvement on their room cleaning skills, (ie) waste paper basket should have been emptied, previous guest soap removed ,stained hospitality tray.long walk from car park with bags in adverse weather, slow check in and slow service @ breakfast. Small room,. The bathroom was not thought out, the floor got absolutely soaking wet and was slippy. You had to get into the shower before you could adjust the temperature which meant getting freezing cold. There was a huge bouncy castle blocking the exit of the small hotel and extremely loud music as the hartwood hall focuses on the bar and not the hotel. Staff rude. Got electrocuted by lamp shade.Service at evening meal - had a table for 10. Food delivered to half of the table a long time before the rest of the table, so some had finished before others had started. Unable to stick to simple menus - delivered everything with chips regardless of the menu saying jacket potatoes, new potatoes. We had peas when salad was shown. The family meal was a Fawlty Towers experience from start to finish.
