  We have just returned from a short trip to North Yorkshire. Having read only "excellent" or "very good"reviews from everyone who had stayed there, we chose The Village inn ,Brompton for our accommodation. The welcome was warm and friendly and all of the staff were extremely helpful and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that our stay was a gr... ce que les gens disent » eat experience.We ate in the restaurant both evenings as the food was both well presented and full of flavour.Our room was spacious and clean and the - My husband and I stayed for one night and were warmly welcomed. In the evening we had dinner with friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our room was very clean, and nicely presented. Set in a pretty village, with a lovely green and stream.I must thank the lovely staff who were so pleasant, and made us feel as if they were interested in what we had to say.We would not hesitate to highly recommend.

  The Black Bull was a lovely place with a very comfortable, spacious, clean room and great breakfast. We had wifi too and a hair dryer and ironing board. Parking was easy, right on the high street apart from Tues night when we parked behind the Black Bull due to market day on the Wed. Although we did not dine there on the Monday night (found a fish and chip shop) we did have some excel - Very friendly attitude from bar & kitchen staff. Rooms good size with en-suite facilities. Separate access to hotel for use when pub part shut. Good filling breakfasts and evening catering had a good range of options with large portions. Off street parking at rear. Helpful & friendly staff.

  We stayed as a family with 2 young children, in the therwell suite. Gorgeous room, had a connecting room for the children. Loved the attention to detail, teddies in the room & books and games. Two hampers were provided if you didn't fancy a cooked breakfast, these had cereals, jam and porridge in. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lo... ce que les gens disent » vely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the reviews helped me pick the black horse , and it lived up to my expectations. Would love to stay again ! - We received a fantastic greeting and, throughout our visit, excellent personal service from all the staff that we encountered. The standard of the evening meal, food and service, was very high to the point that we would definitely see this hotel as a 'destination' for a future visit. The breakfast hamper delivered to the room was a novel but very good touch.
