  Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. We were staying B/B so cannot comment on the evening meal but the breakfast was excellent, with choice galore & as much (or little) as you wish from fresh fruit, cooked and continental br... ce que les gens disent » eakfasts, omelettes etc. The hotel staff & their service is great throughout from the front desk, bar-staff to the nice ladies who clean the rooms - The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   Excellently refurbished apartments just a row back from the beach. We asked for a sunny low floor apartment with a nice view and this is what we got. In the party there were a 60 year old, a 30 year old couple and a 2 year old and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Incidentally the Bahia is also a fantastic hotel situated right on the beach. We have stayed there before - The apartments are just complete refurbished! We were the first to sleep in the apartment.   Our 7th or 8th visit. We love the Pollensa park. All friendly. Super food. Good rooms. Wonderful views. Pool area good to sunbath. Entertainments. Already wishing we were there again. Food was extremely good both for breakfast and dinner; we had just breakfast paid but stayed for dinner a couple of times and did not regret. Beach itself is overcrowded but sea swimming area is spacious and water is clean.   Everything. The staff are amazingly friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean, very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. One of, if not the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Spain and the islands.
