  Lovely place, great interior, nice bed and spacious room and bathroom. We booked only a few days before arrival and where pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Staff was super friendly and we payed only E 50 a night for a really good room. The hotel is situated perfectly, nearby the Mercado and some good restaurants.   The location is great! In the middle of the old center, in walking distance to many restaurants, tapas bars, sights, shopping street, etc. The price-quality ratio of the hotel is very good. Our room was about 46 euro per night, for a small room with double bed, hot shower, small balcony; no breakfast though. Warm atmosphere, good information available at reception. - The hostel is very basic but practical and ideal for those on a budget. Centrally located, it is an ideal base when exploring the city and the surrounding areas. I opted for my own bathroom which was well worth the additional 4 euros per day. I'm often concerned about security in Hostels but this was diminished in El Cid completely - I felt comfortable leaving my belongings in my room when out and about.

  Very friendly staff with good local knowledge. Rooms were clean and tidy. Location was perfect - central to the cathedral and only 10 - 15 minutues from the train station. Excellent for the price - Loved it! The staff/owners were soooo lovely! Really great location right next to the Market. Wonderful price.

  The very chic and elegant room design made me feel like I was staying at a five-star hotel. The great staff service added to this impression. The location and price could not have been better- just a quick walk to awesome sites and restaurants, not to mention the train station. I then stayed again but was to soon to review it. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the decor is of a very high standard and all staff are more than helpfull.   My husband and I were very impressed with this hotel. Yes, the room was small but it was all you needed. Staff was very helpful. A free stubby of beer each on arrival. Didn't need anything else. Close to everything but quiet at the same time. Restaurant by same name downstairs had cheap drinks and lovely food and friendly staff.
