The room was rather spacious for a solo traveller, and the location (just next to the JR station - take the north exit and then the east exit) was great. It was a clean hotel very well located. We subsequently stayed at a hotel further away from Shibuya station a few days later and missed the convenience.
As expected, like all rooms in Tokyo (that come at a reasonable price) it was small, but very manageable.

It was the cheap option for a central location to Shinjuku. Observation level of govt building is across the street. You can walk directly to Shin via a subway or take the street. It has many eating options within the hotel should you wish to stay in house. Rooms are small and typical Tokyo style but do the job. Foreigners info desk were really helpful in all matters.

Very nice pick for a night over between a shinkansen from Nagoya and flight back home. Proximity to Shinjuku station is a great plus, orange building is easy to spot from afar, neighborhood is very clean and safe (as is the rest of Tokyo, for that matter!).

This was our favourite Hotel during our Japanese trip! Our room (situated ot the 17th floor) was spotlessly clean, equipped with everything we needed and the view was just gorgeous. JAL City was in a great location, just 5 minutes from Tamachi station on the Yamaote line - very convenient to all major destinations. The hotel is very well run, predictable and clean. I made reservation for my Japanese parents (in Tokyo for personnal reasons; we live abroad). They told me they had a great week here. The staff was convinient and very kind, and I can tell that when i call them and speak to them trhough, i thought they were very polite and professionnal. They loved the free amenities! i will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who's going to stay in tokyo, because
1) it's only 5-10min walk from Kanada JR station, and you can find many small restaurant on the way from kanada jr station to hotel
