  The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Also everyone at the front desk spoke English, which for us was a great bonus. We had a room with breakfast included, which was a delicious & varied buffet of Western & Japanese choices. This made for great value for us. There is a washing machine / dryer in the room!   Location - very close to Ueno station, sauna facilities (I started and ended every single day in there - they are brilliant), cleanliness, cost and the "relax" room - basically, a room full of very comfortable easy chairs with blankets and individual tv to kick back after the sauna (or really, any time you like). They are comfortable, cool and clean and I could have stayed there muc - Great, efficient, very friendly, clean. Note that there isn't wi-fi but there's a computer to use. You can't leave your bag for a while once you'e checked out, but if you're staying multiple nights you can leave it throughout the in-between days, if that makes sense. Still giving this five stars because everything promised was delivered to the highest standard. Even if the market is closed (as when we stayed in the hotel), there are some pretty good eating spots in the vicinity where one can find fresh fish and seafood.
