  Mie Sumi (the lady at the ryokan) was very helpful in everything, including making reservation for bus ride to Takayama. My wife and I also made full use of the free bicycles in our exploration of the main sights in lovely Kanazawa. In our views, cycling is the best way to experience the city, especially when you have limited time. Our one dinner and three breakfasts were plentiful and good quality traditional Japanese. Our room with private toilet was spacious and quiet. Even with three mattresses I still found the bed hard but wanted to experience the traditional ryokan. I would recommend it for being near shops and many places of interest.
