  Staff and people staying there were really friendly. the hostel will pick you up at kawaguchiko station, just go to tourist information and they will dial the hostel for you and someone will come there to pick u up or you can book a time with them prior to arriving. I liked that there was a communal kitchen, there was space to store your own food ... ce que les gens disent » and a common area where you could chat with other travellers. There were guide books and a TV in the room. The rooms were clean, linen is provided (u - I would recommend K’s house, due to its friendly and helpful staffs. Its location is good, but not the best to look at the mountains. It’s close to the lake and the stores. The good local Japanese restaurant ’小作’ which we had dinner is far from it. Once you get K’s house, they will give you a leaf which shows all the amenities nearby. It’s really helpful. The staff also drive the bus to take us to the train station to catch the train for free, and help us find 7-11 to withdraw cash. Their staf

  We sayed in a dorm but it was more like our own room because of the room deviders. It was comfortable and really close to the train/ bus station. Great value for money. We also did their 2500 yen PP offer to see a temple,traditional 400 year old houses and natural fresh water spring with lunch and dinner included. Over all had a great stay, all the staff were very helpful (even helping us to book our ove - Excellent location - you can see it from the train station. Staff can speak English. They have a locked luggage storage room and kept our luggage for us while we climbed Fuji overnight (we had checked out the previous morning). They offer breakfast of toast with jam, juice, salad and unlimited tea and coffee for 180y. There is also a restaurant for dinner. Rooms were large with fridge, TV, large cupboard space and hangers.
