Great location in old town. Enjoyed the roof top garden - plenty of sun lounges, table tennis and a drinks machine with beer and wine. Breakfast was substantial, including; pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast and eggs. Never went hungry. Amazing places to eat only a few minutes walk from the door. This is a very nice hotel centrally located in the small town of Cinque
Terre. The location is within meters of the main square of the old town
and very nice. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful.
The rooms were nice. The included breakfast buffet was excellent with
lots of choices.

We loved that it was up in the hills and how quiet it was - away from all the tourists and energy from the village. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the shuttle was super handy being so far (too far to walk) from the beach. Very secluded with beautiful surroundings. What perfect little spot.

I loved the location of the hotel. The hotel overlooks the ocean and is right next to trail #2 from Monterosso to Vernazza. The breakfast buffet was excellent with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the ocean. My room had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Taxi pickup part of the room fees. Although the room was average, the views from the balcony room 220 were amazing. The staff were excellent and the restaurant first class.
Despite 5 star service and food in the restaurant, prices were average and we ate there 4 nights in a row. The whole place is picturesque and a very pleasant memory.

Beautiful location... the hotel seemed to be four rooms on the third floor of an apartment building, which was a little confusing, but once we were inside it was perfect for us. The staff was very friendly and helped us with printing out boarding passes and anything else we needed. They were so NICE!! The view was AMAZING... perfect spot in Monterosso to home base for fantastic exploring.

We stayed in the 4-person apartment, and the room was very nice and had modern decor. I particularly liked the furnishings, the bed was extremely comfortable (I'm fairly picky about beds) and was much bigger than European standards. I loved our stay at the hotel. Everything was outstanding. We got a wonderful room of 2.5 levels (bedroom, sublevel bathroom-shower, and a tiny walkout patio). The resort is also eco-conscious with reminders about the use of water and electricity. Location was great! Two steps from the beach and main street that took us to all the restaurants. Best place from our Roman Holiday!

Since we had a car, free parking was excellent. It was in a secure
garage nearby the hotel. The hotel was very close to the beach and the
shops in the area. It was a very nice room with its own balcony with
chairs that had a great ocean view. The bathroom was modern with a great
shower. Since we were located up the street from the main building where
breakfast was, they personally brought croissants and left them on a
table outside the rooms in our building so we wouldn't have to walk
anywhere.

A very charming hotel centrally situated in Monterosso al Mare. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was always clean with new towels every day. The bathroom was big and really good. Breakfast buffet was delicious and tasting with a very friendly staff. Hotel 5 Terre is very close to the beautiful beach of Monterosso, the railway station that connects to all the other Cinque Terre villages and to the Old Town. Also a nice area around the hotel.

The other reviews are correct in that there are a lot of steps up from
town, however, that would sum up all of Cinque Terre so if steps are not
your thing this is not the place to visit! The owners offer a shuttle
service to and from town for convenience if you are that tired, and they

Monterosso is in general a small village where you can get everywhere by
foot in a few minutes. The Hotel is located not directly at the sea but
within 3-4min walking you get there! The breakfast was pretty nice and
the staff is very nice and helpful! We booked a room with no ensuite
bathroom which means that you share the bathroom with others. That is
basically ok, however, cleanliness is depending also on the other rooms!
