Perfect location, comfortable accommodation, clean and very nice restaurant where you can find good breakfeast with fresh fruits. Russian speaking staff at the reception (if it is nessesary). Special thanks for the birthday present from the hotel. It was unexpectedly and very nicely. In a basin in bathroom valve was closed and at first we did not understand why water stays in basin and even asked receptionist for engineering assistance. But engineer was not available and we found out how to hand with this. Poorly suited for small children. Cool water in the pool. Combined with ventilation air conditioning, so when it stops blowing, room becomes stuffy. It was too cold in the room. At the end we found the regulator, but it took the whole night to get warmer. - Some of room equipment looks too old and worn out (used but good :-) ) - paper tea cups in room - very busy parking and too narrow parking places for big cars - it's too expensive for this hotel compared with another Finnish hotels. Perhaps it's too close to the border and that is the reason. Quite expensive (maybe some specialtists should be made). Sauna and swimming pool should be bigger: the hotel is large and they are really small for it. There is no kettle in the room. no balcony. shower without bath. We had had to pay extra 20 euro for the room because letsbookhotel.com gave wrong price - 95 instead 115 for two persons. There was no discount by Stop in Finland card in spite of the discount had fixed by several sites. Nothing to report. Quite cold in the number Swimming pool wasn't working. None. In rest room in sauna not many shelfs. could be cheaper. The shower leaked. Every time to use wi-fi I type login and password.. Nothing. Cold in room. Too many people during lunch time, waitress were upset. With more than 50% of Russian guests in the restaurant and the bar staff do not speak Russian!. We ordered crayfish (river) soup in Casanova, they brought us soup with tiger shrimps & tried to say that its crayfish =) it's not vital..but please keep your plate selection more simple..to avoid misunderstanding from staff side. The hotel needs serious renovation! both inside and out. Looks like a hotel from the 80s and with facilities from that time which are not in good shape. It was on our way to Savonlinna and while we liked the town very much it was a bit far from the shore. Can't say its a 4-star hotel...poor bath amenities, poor breakfast, old furniture. Old construction of the building. Need to renovate. Old dirty bathroom without soap in the shower. too much money for this level. Nobody was allowed to give me a corkscrew or to help me to open my wine bottle. Also the furniture was taken from somebody's grandmother farm,f.e. the wall of the wardrobe had lever handles from some door, so actually it was a door, but used like the wall. Noisy,repairs start at 08 o'clock both inside and outside, restaurant was closed at 7 P.M.on Sunday.They say outside repairs will last for another 2 years!!. very cold and uncomfortable.
