The hotel is very conveniently located, right by the bay area. The breakfast was great and the hotel allowed us to borrow bikes for free, which was wonderful. The lobby staff was mostly great (varied a lot from person to person). Also, free wifi!. Rooms are equipped with everything needed, very clean. Possibiilty to check-out online, not wasting time at the reception. Easy to find free parking place nearby (stayed during the weekend).

I'm having a really difficult time to find any justification for this price! Breakfast could be much more rich and ample, the hours when the sauna is open are downright inconvenient, the size of the room is minuscule. We've stayed in numerous Scandic hotels in Finland, Sweden and Norway before; this is by far the most dissatisfying... I don't think we'd like to stay there again... Too crowdy at breakfast time Rather old equipment in bathrooms. Lot of inside in hotel need reconstruct, change furniture, food very poor, service for poor but at a high price! Nonsense! If within this year the owner of hotel doesn't make up-dating, nobody will stay here! Time requires changes! ! !. I do not like a fact that parking became chargeable recently. The room was cold, and there were no way to make it warmer.

Scandic Patria is 400 metres from the 17th-century Lappeenranta Fortress and 2 km from Lappeenranta Train Station. The rooms have a 32-inch TV. Gym and sauna access is free.
