  Amazing hotel, beautifully if not always practically designed. The staff were generally extremely friendly and helpful. The new pool area and cafe are lovely. Lana at the front desk was delightful and enjoyed meeting the head chef that grew up in Canada(woohoo Canadian Maple Syrup on the menu) Ate in L Restaurant twice and would go back again.   We spent three nights ( Aug 21 - Aug 23, 2013) at the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic, room #172. We requested a sea-view room, and that's just what we have got. The room was beautiful, very well designed and clean as well . My favourite was the Bang & Olufsen TV and mp3 set. Beautiful sounds...... The service was absolutely a five star service!   Amazing views of the sea and the historical Rovinj. Do you feel that you are on the beach. Room was new and clean. Every day was cleaning, fresh towels every other day. Breakfast can choose from the menu, are high. Again we booked a stay in the spring I do not know why it has only two stars.

  WOW....we enjoyed a fabulous relaxing three nights at San Rocco to end our 2 week trip to Crotia. This hotel was a remarkable find, total relaxation from entering premises. It is small and luxurious, staff are most helpful and always on hand but in a completely unobtrusive way - nothing being too much trouble.   Charm to the nth degree! Beautiful old style architecture and furnishings in a magical seaside town. Five star staff who did everything to accommodate our needs. We had requested, and received, a top floor room where we were serenaded by seagulls in the morning as we purposely left the wind - Perfect location to explore Rovinj and Istrian peninsula. The staff was remarkable-special thanks to Martina, Vlatka, Mateo, and Marina. From suggestions to where to go, to making dinner reservations, to parking and retrieving our car, and even a surprise birthday bottle of wine-they did it all. Old town Rovinj is truly a gem. Travelers should not miss a day in the medieval hill towns, especially Motovun, Draguc, and Groznjan.
