  Our room on the third floor was enormous and very well equipped. It looked like it had been recently refurbished with a pleasant colour scheme of browns, creams and coffee colours. The bed was huge, firm and very comfortable. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped and there was tons of wardrobe and storage space. It's close to the Inner Harbour, BC Parliament Building and the famous Fairmount Empress. Walking less than five minutes, you will be at the coast. The Douglas Street, which is the street that Helm's Inn is on, has tons of restaurants, convenient stores and shops. You can easily walk a restaurant and grab something to eat.   That they were helpful in putting our bags behind the counter when we were early for check-in, never gave us a hard time, always available. Very happy with the staff and the overall room. - The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The price was excellent.
