The history of the Tin-wis was very interesting - it was the site of a residential school in the past and the First Nation people have done an amazing job of turning this place into a beautiful resort area for many to enjoy! the staff was very friendly and helpful and we also enjoyed the Bistro on site. The food was excellent!

The hotel is well located, close to Tofino, but on the park side of it. A handy feature is that the hotel includes boat tours at a discount for whale-watching and to the hot springs, which was advantageously priced for customers. The room itself was more than a room, but really a suite, equipped with a king-sized bed. There was a stove, and a fridge, and a little porch where one could eat. Wow what a fabulous place. I couldn't believe how big our suite was, more like an apartment.We had a full kitchen as well. The seating area was really comfortable and we had views over the harbour. The Himwitsa Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. The room was first class. It was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor and furniture and outstanding views across the Pacific ocean. The staff and proprietors were lovely, kind and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Himwitsa Lodge. Tofino is a lovely unspoilt place and we hope it remains so. Being from England, we didn't even mind the heavy rain.

The view was spectacular from our room, overlooking the bay. The location is unbeatable in my opinion, right in the little town of Tofino, close to the water. Grocery store, bakery, gallery, wharf, nice restaurant, all within a block. A Saturday public market two blocks away. Amazing. There is a lounge area for preparing food which allows guests to interact if desired and feel connected to the others in the hotel. Location is unbeatable for what we wanted!

We arrived very late - 11-45pm. The office had closed at 8-30pm and so we were unable to check in. However, the keys to our room were left for us to collect. Very good service.

We had a great time! Lovely hosts, a great room with comfy beds, and a breakfast that was amazing... She cooked up a delicious breakfast every morning! Plus, we got a lot of tips on what to do. We'd come back nay time. We should have stayed longer. It's just across the beach, a minute through the forest. Lovely!

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. My room ( a deluxe king) was beautiful and spacious, with views into the forest. After a hard day of surf lessons, I had a wonderful sleep on the very firm bed. -

The location is superb - looking out onto the ocean - and the lodge has its own private beach. Relaxing in the large, supremely comfortable lounge looking out on the beautiful scene ( as the rain poured down!) with endless supplies of coffee or tea was a real treat and a memorable one.
Freshly baked cookies in the evening were a nice touch too.

Nice view of the marina, quiet location, good beds, nice bathroom, decent fridge, nice balcony with chairs, outdoor area with picnic tables. Smoking is permitted on balconies, so that is a plus or minus depending on your preference. Easy walk to all amenities.
