Hotel Herc was a really quaint hotel with a friendly staff. The location was really unique - while close to all of the action, it felt isolated because it was at the top of the hill. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They have good internet throughout the hotel. The breakfast was consistently good and felt more like a B&B than a hotel.

we stayed for 5 nights at Villa Wien in summer 2013. The hotel is located in the heart of Sarajevo and is small, but really nice. All sights in the old town are within very short walking distance. Though the reception closes at 10:30 PM, the staff was up and waiting for us until we arrived at 01:00 AM, a BIG + for that.
We will definitely book Villa Wien next time we come to Sarajevo.

I arrived much later than expected to Sarajevo, but despite having to wake up the owners, they were very understanding! They made me feel very welcome and cooked me a lovely breakfast (special eggs for Easter too!) They even looked after my bags after my check out time so I could explore Sarajevo a bit more before moving on. -

Staff is very kind, pleasant and helpful. My car was parked in safe
motels garage(you have to book it). Room and bathroom was clean and
cosy. You can also enjoy on the terrasse pointing to the Baščaršija. It
has the best location to explore the "old town"(baščaršija,
svržina kuća, gazi-husref begova džamija).
I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO ALL VISITORS OF Sarajevo.

It's such a well-run place with great staff, who are very friendly like Sarajevo in general.

It's easy to get to the city centre by taxi (it only costs about 3 Euros and takes a few minutes).
Free parking is available outside the hotel.
Room service is very good in the hotel and the breakfast is also quite nice.
Sarajevo is just one of the best places to go to in Europe and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a low budget yet good quality service.

First off, Irma and Eldin (I'm sorry if the spelling is incorrect guys!) made our staff that much better. They were both extemely friendly, and gave us fantastic advice on great restaurants, things to do, etc. - Eldin even held up traffic to take a few pictures of us with the Latin Bridge. The receptionist upon our arrival was, like all Bosnians we met, very
friendly and had a quirky and funny personality. She made us feel

never got such good value for money in accommodation before, our room
was large, with an en-suite bathroom, very comfortable beds, television,

We stayed here to catch an early morning flight. Usually airport hotels are expensive and/or run down. The Ocatgon was neither. The rooms were pleasant and the staff were very helpful. An excellent breakfast was ready for our early departure. Then just a short walk to the airport! -
