My friend had a problem climbing the stairs, as when I booked I didn't realize there was up and down stairs. The lady at the desk re arranged the booking to a ground floor room, which was no bother to her and a big plus to us. Otherwise everything was spot on.. I actually made mistake when booking and listed incorrect check in date,
when I failed to show they rang me to verify, I explained it was a
mistake, I meant to book the following night and they happily updated my
booking, very understanding and helpful. -

Hotel Marengo is just one of the best value for money accommodations along the Great Ocean Road. Extremely spacious rooms, lovely and clean. Location was great, the motel was set a little back from the main highway so lovely and quiet, yet easy to find late at night. A surprise to see two kangaroos in the driveway when arrived at night! The owners had graciously waited up for my 9pm arrival -they were very friendly, lovely people and very helpful indeed. Room service breakfast was perfectly on time, very tasty and good value. Check out was fast and easy. This would be a great place to stay

Very convenient stop-over at the end of a sight-seeing trip to Great Ocean Road or the Bellarine Peninsular, before returning to Melbourne.
Very helpful staff who arranged to leave our room key for collection so we could sight-see until the last minute of daylight before checking in! -

Room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Bed was also comfortable. Price ($154) was very reasonable. We arrived at Tullamarine from an overseas trip at 2.00 in the morning, but a short phone call was all we needed to organise a free shuttle bus ride to the hotel. -

To arive after a 5hour drive and be told that you have been upgraded to a spa room was the BEST EVERY,It was my BIRTHDAY. I loved all of it, the room was a great size, the meals at the resturont wear delish and great value for money, the staff wear polite and very helpful. Two couples shared a family room and it was fine. A separate bedroom for two single beds and main room had the double bed so privacy was a little difficult. All was fresh and clean and comfortable with limited kitchen for breakfast which was great. Good value for a one night touring room. All on ne level and Parking outside the door was great.
