The lady at the front desk was very helpful as I told her about the old

I actually made mistake when booking and listed incorrect check in date,
when I failed to show they rang me to verify, I explained it was a
mistake, I meant to book the following night and they happily updated my
booking, very understanding and helpful. -

Hotel Marengo is just one of the best value for money accommodations along the Great Ocean Road. We enjoyed our brief stay here. It was dark, cold and wet when we arrived but got a lovely welcome and a nice room. It is old fashioned but that doesn't take anything away from it as that is its charm. It's clean and we had plenty of room. A lovely breakfast and some chat with the owners and other guess made s sorry we had to dash for the ferry -

road from lighthouse and beach. 2 min walk to shops and cafes, loved the

Very convenient stop-over at the end of a sight-seeing trip to Great Ocean Road or the Bellarine Peninsular, before returning to Melbourne.
Very helpful staff who arranged to leave our room key for collection so we could sight-see until the last minute of daylight before checking in! -

Two couples shared a family room and it was fine. A separate bedroom for two single beds and main room had the double bed so privacy was a little difficult. All was fresh and clean and comfortable with limited kitchen for breakfast which was great. Good value for a one night touring room. All on ne level and Parking outside the door was great.

Very impressed with the room, heating, layout and kitchenette facilities (2 bedroom with spa). Good heating throughout, clean and all facilities in good condition. Liked the country feel of the accommodation, out of the city but still close enough should we need anything. Loved the peacocks roaming around free. Free wi-fi is also good. Handy to Lake Hume (i.e. right there) for summertime, and in nicer weather the mini-golf would be fun.
