Hotel is in a central position, staff were welcoming and friendly from check in. Food and service in the restaurant were excellent. Rooms whilst on the small side are simply decorated, all the essentials of bar fridge, tea & coffee included, plus a microwave oven. Property has a pool on top level, which we hope to use next visit.......excel

I had a very comfortable suite, plenty of space, big bed with good mattress, fine cotton bedlinen; the bathroom was unusually large with walk-in shower. Real coffee with plunger in the kitchen area was a nice touch. Very helpful staff showed me the quick way to Central so I didn't have to cope with the hills from the city centre.

the absoulute magnificent desk staff being kaylene and george they both should be commended with their focus and attention given too myself and wife novotel should double their wages as they are worth every cent -we have traavelled extensively for 10 years and they are the cream of staff come in contact with worldwide

The position was good - close to Townsville CBD, local buses, coffee shops, supermarket, chemist and some speciality shops. For me personally it was close to family. -

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Was central to everything. Was very peaceful. Had activities for the kids to keep them occupied and most of all was the price which was very reasonable. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends. -

The privacy, the secluded area per unit. The gardens were amazing. All the little extras were included like robes, candles, mozzie coils and so forth ... more than you would expect from a budget resort. Such a relaxing and tropical atmosphere. This accommodation was the best thing about Port Douglas.

They were great! We had an unplanned late arrival and I had been unable to call to warn them. When we arrived they were closed and I was terrified that we would have a problem. But they had gone ahead and left our key and booking taped to the window.

Didn't know the Ridgemont existed until I found while searching on line, a little secluded but close to most things around the city. My wife and I had an upper level room for 2 nights, brilliant view, great to sit on balcony looking out over Strand and Maggie Island. Good value.
Requested 6 meals, 2 x 3 types,(on a night meals not usually served)

Proximity to The Strand, a credit to Townsville Council. Room was clean and neat. TV needs replacing soon, screen pixelating continually.
Reception staff (owners ?) were very helpful with directions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedroom apartment had modern furniture, a great layout and a wide verandah overlooking the golf club. Undercover parking was provided. The apartments are in a gated-community and are very quiet. A great location, only10 minutes drive to Broadbeach. -

Very welcoming staff, nice facilities including kitchen, laundry, bar,
pool.. The family room was very clean and comfortable. Although is a
little far from downtown, they offer rides. Free wifi. -
The quiz night was fun.. And it was the only day you can see more than
15 peaple in the public area

The owners were so thoughtful. The accommodated an early arrival and greeted us warmly. The villa was immaculate as was the rest of the house. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone, young or old. We would return without question. -
