  Clean and tastefully appointed rooms. We were a mature couple travelling with our mature daughter. The owners son who I gathered worked on mainting the Motel was very pleasant and very much open for a chat whenever we encountered him which made us feel very much at home. All in all nice place to stay and good value for money. - i liked the location, the room, the kitchenette was great and the kitchen Sunbeam equipment was a bonus. i cooked a lot of great meals. the layout of the room was good, it felt like home. Laundry service was great. and the Costumer service was FANTASTIC. We came for 1 Night BUT we Stayed for 3 Nights Because we liked it so much. Landscaping was great and the Herb plants on the gazebo ware a pleasantly useful.

  It was so tranquil and Jane & Phil and Helen and Kevin were wonderful hosts. It felt like we were staying with friends!! Spacious rooms overlooking the stunning garden.   The scenery was fantastic, it is an idyllic spot in Hunter, walking distance to a couple of wineries and we spotted kangaroos on our stroll! The hosts were very helpful and more than willing to pass on information about the locality. The dog on the property was beautiful and very friendly. The breakfast provided was very generous. The bbq at the back of the cottage would have been handy if w - Our Host and Hostess went above and beyond for us, offering to drive us to our friends wedding when we couldn't get a taxi, and baking us fresh banana bread for afternoon tea. Absolutely gorgeous location, excellent personal service, reasonable rates for the area and a very friendly dog that will greet you on arrival! We would definitely return.

I have visited Hunter Valley previously and have to say this Guesthouse is one of the top stays I have experienced. Beautiful decor with attention to details, Thistle Hill grounds are stunning, breakfast very tasty with great choice of food, and Carol's baked pears just delicious!! We will definitely come back later this year.

  The staff and owner were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were large and modern, breakfast was excellent and the outlook over countryside and lake peaceful and relaxing.
