This family run B&B was welcoming, comfortable, had onsite parking and was quiet. It felt like home. It is on the main road on the edge of the commercial strip across from the RSL. It is within walking distance of the beach.
The continental breakfast ($10) was really good with fruit, cereals with yoghurt &/or milk, croissant, toast, juice

It was close enough to the town centre but was still quiet, the owner was very helpful and friendly, the room was a good size and very comfortable, and everything was clean and welcoming. Didn't try the brekkie so can't comment on that but the choice of food and the price was great.

The room was small but was always kept very clean. The hotel is in a quite location and it is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station which was very handy. The breakfast was great. We like the owners and found we had a lot in common. The room was larger
than expected and we were quite comfortable for our four nights. George
and family also provide your choice of a great breakfast. The location
was good, we walked to the harbour and only took transit a couple of
time but the hotel was easy for using bus or train.
We enjoyed our stay.

Our Host and Hostess went above and beyond for us, offering to drive us to our friends wedding when we couldn't get a taxi, and baking us fresh banana bread for afternoon tea. Absolutely gorgeous location, excellent personal service, reasonable rates for the area and a very friendly dog that will greet you on arrival! We would definitely return.

We very much liked the accommodation in the cottage. The breakfast in the main guesthouse was very much home made, plentiful and delicious. As we were visitors from the UK, the arrival of kangaroos during the late afternoon on the distant grass patch was an added bonus. Thank you for a great stay Linda. -

The hosts were extremely friendly but at the same time respectful of privacy. Room was beautiful as well as gardens. Nice linen , soft towels and decorative furnishings. Room had chocolates and port. Breakfast and afternoon teas were plentiful and delicious. Candlelight and music created a romantic ambience. Native birds flock there. Free wifi.

This is the third time that we have stayed here as a stopover on a drive from Sydney to Northern Gold Coast. Riverview Lodge is in a very pretty, quiet setting. There are two restaurants nearby or a pleasant riverside walk takes you to the bistro at the White Albatross pub where seafood is a speciality. Rooms are nicely furnished, warm and comfort

A great BnB in a fantastic location for all amenities in walking distance. After touring Australia using hotels it was nice to have the excellent standard found in most English country BnBs.
The idea place for anybody stay, wi-fi, off road parking, help with cases to room an extremely recommended place to stay.

Very, very relaxed and friendly with a lovely old world ambience. Good breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. There is a communal kitchen/lounge room with access to a cooker,fridge, tea and coffee and all the usual plates,cutlery etc. This is an historic building with lots of character but does have all the creature comforts

Arriving a little later then planned (11pm) I was greeted very kindly and escorted to our cabin.
The staff are extremely helpful and make you feel welcome.
In the morning when asking for a late checkout, I received this without any problem.
The place is isolated and quiet, excellent if you like your privacy!

Excellent place! The owners were so friendly and gave us a warm welcome. It not like a hotel where you feel so disconnected from everyone, there really is a sense of spirituality and friendliness in our stay at Ferndale. I will be bringing my family here soon!

Set back from the street in a nice quiet location in a cul de sac so there was no passing traffic. We stayed in the Tuscan room which although it was the smallest was quite adequate. Very welcomeing, friendly, it was like you were staying in someone's house. Our host Graeme was helpful and hospitable and cooks a yummy breakfast. We came in on cold night to a warm cosy room. There was also a fire in the lounge room if you wished to sit there. We found our room comfortaleble and stayed there with a glass of wine.The first 1st photos is of the room we stayed in, so I know them to be true.

Julie, our host is a warm and inviting lady. She made us feel at home.
Help us on where we want to go.
Breakfast is good, on our last day, she even made some passionfruit jam.
At night, we can see the sky lit up with lots of stars. In the day, we get to catch some kangaroos in the wild nearby the B&B.

Julie was very welcoming and informative - nothing was too much trouble. The home cooked breakfast was perfect, and the place was clean, comfortable and pleasant. We were welcomed as we got out of our car by Mojo (the dog) who is just delightful. We intend to stay again in the near future. Highly recommend this B&B - it was a very pleasant stay.

The hosts Marilyn and Peter greeted us warmly and made sure that any needs we had were attended to. The location of Ophir Gold B and B is peaceful and inviting and the facilities are very well appointed. We would not hesitate to stay there again if visiting Orange. Highly recommended! -
