  We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. Overlooking the river and with lawns all round, a barbeque down by the river. Sure the houses were old, but still in good repair. Had a great time! - The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

  Excellent food from restaurant and reasonably priced. Very polite, obliging staff. Was able to book in earlier than expected. Room served its purpose. - The staff are always very helpful with any questions you may have and nothing is a problem. Rooms are clean and beds very comfortable.

The room lacked for nothing I wanted, except for tea and coffee which is available in a separate "tea room". Service on check in was excellent with advice about delivery of meals from external restaurant welcome as we didn't wish to go out.   Our room was very clean and we were upgraded to a room that was on ground level. I had forgotten to ask for a ground floor unit, so we were pleasantly suprised when allocated the ground floor unit - We enjoyed our time, and would highly recommend it to anyone we knew were paying a visit to Hobart it was very clean, friendly, and comfortable

The location suited me perfectly as I walked out of the dining room across the road and 100 meters later was on the Mona ferry. I had a harbour facing room and it was clean, warm and comfortable. Because it is a refit of differently aged buildings there is a charming "Fawltyness" to the interior. Short stairways, creaky floor - Staff were brilliant. We arrived on an unusually very hot day (and our room was unfortunately on the north west corner). Even with the fan going, we were unable to sleep due to this unfortunate combination of circumstances. In the morning with all other rooms booked, we decided to curtail our pre-booked stay - staff were extremely professional, even offering to cloak our luggage until we were able to make other arrangements.   Excellent & friendly staff, very good location, great view of the harbour from Mt Stewart position. Good restaurant, not overpriced & very good selection on menu. - We were made to feel right at home as from the minute we checked in, the staff were really lovely, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back .
