  We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed 4 hikes - Wangara Lookout on the first evening, the challenging loop to St Mary's Peak the second day, then the Trezona loop on the third day and finally the Bunyeroo Gorge. The first two hiking trails started very close to the resort. All trails were well marked. It was great having a comfortable room to come ba... ce que les gens disent » ck to each day. We tried the bistro the first evening; the food was good but preferred the quieter atmosphere of the restaurant the remaining evenings - The Flinders Range in South Australia is a must see area with breath-taking gorges and mountain views and the Wilpena Pound Lodge is an ideal location as a base. Everything you need is there and it's isolation doesn't limit the facilities too much. The staff are a mix of locals and itinerant young travellers stopping for a while. The level of training is in general okay. Restaurant meals were fine.
