  We liked just about everything.....the air conditioning didn't quite reach the bedroom and the bedroom didn't open onto the balcony.....window only, not sliding door. Other than that everything was excellent and very well worth the stay. - Very close walk to town - great location. Excellent value for money. Very helpful with booking tours.   Stayed 3 nights with my cousin from Scotland, found the staff to be very professional and extremely helpful in regard to booking our activities and recommending places to eat. I would recommend Water's Edge Resort.   We received a very warm welcome from owner Bernie, who helped us with local information. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a very pleasant balcony area, which overlooked the pool and lush gardens. Breakfast was good too, a fair variety of items. A short walk lead to the main shopping area and beaches, but the hotel was far enough aw... ce que les gens disent » ay to ensure a good night's sleep on a very comfortable bed. I would definitely go back to Airlie Beach and back to the Colonial Palms hotel. - Great facilities - lovely pool, washer and dryer and free wifi with a PC in lobby for guests to use and even a printer. We were able to leave our car parked at the hotel during our trip tithe Whitsundays. A nice continental breakfast was included every day and when we had an early departure, we were given a breakfast tray for our room! The staff were very friendly and helpful as was the owner.

  Beautiful apartment, equipped with everything we needed for a week's stay. Fantastic views of the sea from balcony. Expect daily visits from the cockatoos! If you want to avoid the killer hill, there is a pathway leading from the apartments which runs along the creek and is not quite so steep.
