  The hotel has lovely views and is a short (little bit steep) walk from the main tourist areas. Staff are really friendly and speak english for those of us with little spanish. Oliver on reception our first day or so was excellent telling us the highlights to see and booking us on a tour. The owner was also friendly and sorted us out with taxi's etc. Breakfast was - Every room has a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. This is a clean, quiet and fairly modern hotel. Location is great - less than a 10 min walk away to the city center. Breakfast was wonderful. Breakfast starts at 8:00, but they allowed us to have breakfast earlier because we had a bus to catch at 8:45, which we were very greatful for. The front desk guy (British national) was very helpful and ordered us a taxi the night before. The man who organized breakfast was also very friendly and

Remember, Bariloche is small so you should not spend too much time there.   Our experience at Catalonia Sur was outstanding! We were lucky enought to extend our stay. Juan was an excellent and accomodating host. Staff were very attentive too. We enjoyed full moon rising over the lake each night from our room. Heated floors were new to us but also a comforting treat. Location just about perfect too. From the moment we arrived we felt like part of the family, they provided great info about local restaurants, had local bus tickets for purchase and reconfirmed a boat tour we had booked ourselves.
