It was clean and although there were a lot of young guests and children it was very quiet once I was in my room. Also, it was a little cool but there was a unit in the room that could be set for heat or a/c and I turned the heat on to chase away the chill, Just across the road there was a lovely cafe which served breakfast and you could walk there and didn't have to drive since there was a pedestrian crossing just adjacent to the Value Inn. At check-in, the manager was very friendly and gave us excellent advice on restaurants in the area.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The location good and close to trolley stops (one beside the Inn, the other just across the road).
I liked that the Inn was right on Hwy 1. We were able to drive to the local area beaches and restaurants easily. Also, I liked that there was a nice general store/restaurant directly across the street.
I was very pleased with my stay here. The staff was super accomadating
given I booked 3 rooms for my family. There was a Trolly stop right
ouside the hotel. The place was clean and well taken care of.
I found the room very comfortable. I loved the decor and the tv was a nice sized flat screen. I found the staff very kind and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool.
It is convenient to get to the beaches. The trolley stops every 20 minutes in front of the cottages. The cottages are cute and have the necessities. The staff was very friendly.
The room was very clean and everything was modern. Very well lit and safe environment. I would absolutely recommend this motel and will go back there when I return to Wells!.

Room was clean and up to date.
The scent of the air/fabric freshener used in the room was very strong - so much that we had to open the door and windows for the first hour or so. This would be very problematic for persons with scent sensitivities issues and / or allergies.
I didn't like the fact that besides the door knob lock, there was no way to lock the door from the inside, i.e., no chain lock or bolt. I also did not see a "Do not disturb" sign to hang on the outside of the door to let housekeeping know we were still sleeping.
The only drawback to the room was, there was no closet. There were drawers to put your clothes in, but no where to hang your clothes up.
The beds were very hard so our group did not sleep well. The bathroom had many Cobb/spider webs. It could have been cleaner. There were dirty sheets left on the pull out. That wouldn't have grossed me out but they had blood on them.
WiFi was only available near the pool.
The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan.
Bathroom was not renovated with rest of room. There was NO FULL LENGTH MIRROR available in the room! Only mirror was over the sink so if one person in bathroom other persons not able to use mirror!.
The sheets on the bed could have been a higher quality, the comforter
was excellent but not sheets. Also we were on the 1st floor, if we left
our curtains open -anyone walking by looked in, sheers in addition to
the drapery would have been nice.
We didn't get clean towels nor did they replenish toilet paper, cups, coffee daily.

Rooms were very very dark-lack of sufficient lighting and a shortage of linens (washcloths,soaps, tissues).
It's a typical old hotel most likely built in the 60s, which has been given slight improvements over the years. Certainly a no frills stay.
This is probably petty but thought the bathroom needed updating. And the fire alarms beeped from the heat and steam from the shower.
WiFi only worked in certain places but did not work in the rooms.
There was no offer of breakfast, I have stayed at cheaper hotels that
did offer something.
