  This is a good location if you want to visit Marina District. If you want to go to the Golden Gate for instance. We actually rent bikes and from the hotel we could go to the golden gate, the road was stunning. We also could reach downtown through the embarcadero st which is also very nice.   It was much quieter than staying downtown, with easy access to the bus and not far from Golden Gate Park by car. Good restaurants within an easy walk. It's not a luxury hotel, but perfectly adequate and well cared for. Parking is limited, but it wasn't hard to find a spot in that neighborhood. - Friendly personnel, location, beds

  Everything was excellent! I have stayed in hotels price much higher that were no where near as nice as this one! It wasn't a luxury hotel of course, but as a home base for a city trip I couldn't ask for more. This is a funky old art deco style motor hotel that is maintained to accommodate budget travelers-don't expect valet parking, or luxury amenities, but do enjoy the no frills quick check in, working ice/pop machines, in room coffee, and cable tv.   Everything about this motel was perfect for our stay! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Geary Parkway Motel in San Francisco for 5 days at the end of April 2013. The exterior of the Motel could use a face-lift but there was nothing wrong with our room. I would recomend this Motel to my closest family and friends! - FRom check-in to departure my stay was trouble free. OK the breakfast is a muffin and make your own coffee but there are also places nearby for a full breakfast if you wanted. For me my stay was as perfect as any expectations. The no 38 bus that stops at the door gets you downtown in about 130mins depending on traffic.But the friendly people on buses made it a pleasant journey.

  There is no negative thing i would mention. The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there. We would recommend this hotel mainly for young people and travellers. - Close to our destination - walking distance. The staff was very helpful. Gave us walking instructions to our intended destination. Also pointed out alternate transportation solutions and approximate costs.

  The staff was very friendly and flexible when our plans changed. Parking facility was excellent and secure. - The room was super clean, oversized and the tub drained!! :) Parking was limited but free! The free coffee was better than Starbucks! The hotel is only a block from the bus to get to Pier 39.

  The location is good, the neightboorhood is really quiet and safe and there is some small places to grab something to eat... close to lombard street which is reall close to the fisherman wharf and its easy to catch the buses from there... the place is clean and really confy.. we were not expecting much because of the price..but once we got there w... mitä ihmiset sanovat » e were amazed, cuz the room was really nice and look really fancy actually, cable and wifi were good and the personal was really helpfull. - It looks a bit run down on the outside, but inside the rooms have been renovated and are very nice indeed: meticulously clean, very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in ours, very handy. Spotless bathroom. Free (ample) parking in SF is invaluable. Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.

  A good and convenient hotel to stay in while you are in San-Francisco. 20-25 minutes from Airport by taxi (~45-50$). This hotel doesn't have shuttles.   I liked the location and the fact that the train ended at the motel which made city transit a breeze. The parking was free and the place was quite. I also loved being one block from the beach. I really enjoyed having a microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee machine in the room. This is a lifesaver with young children. I felt comfortable the minute I started talking to him. - Friendly staff who volunteered information on sights and travelling into town, and also managed to change the room when it turned out we booked a "smoking" by mistake. Location, though distant from the main sights, also has its plusses: a quiet neighourhood, just opposite the zoo, and a stone's throw from the beach. Not hard to get into downtown via line L which runs from right round the corner to Market Street (about a 30-40 minute journey).

  This is my second stay in less than 6 months. You can't beat the price and the location. There is a parking garage right next door with super overnight rates. The Muni bus stop is right in front of the hotel. You're a couple of blocks from Union Square. This is a budget hotel so don't expect "Five Star Hilton Accomodations". There is a new digital flat screen TV plus a refrig - It was a no frills hotel but comfortable for the most part. The shower was great - roomy, plenty of hot water. Central location adjacent to parking lot, a few blocks from BART. The fridge worked well. Never tried the microwave.
