The hotel is right on the beach and a very short walk to Whaler's Village (a shopping mall). Paid parking nearby if needed and free parking if you can find it within a few blocks. Easy access to public transportation to get out of the city. But then, hostels and the global traveli - I stayed 5 nights at the hostel and it was great! It was October and not so noisy as I expected in the night, which was good, and it was fairly convenient and economic for a backpacker to stay. Mostly importantly, the location was extremely good and it was just a couple of minutes to the beach.

Service was excellent - very friendly, polite and attentive (and continued this way after my stay when I left my sunglasses behind).
