  We loved everything about this hotel. The location is ideal. The staff seem to genuinely love their jobs and it shows in their outstanding commitment to guest service. The rooms are whisper quiet.   The Inn was surprisingly exciting, different, homely and very memorable. We felt we were really in Hawaii, not just another hotel or resort. Irene was very interesting, warm and friendly. She was very generous with her time, information about the area and booked a lava walk tour for us. It's a motherly touch that a large resort cannot replicated (which I stayed at before arriving at Lava Tree). It's something so small as that that can change your entire vacation and make it bettter.   It was so quaint, convenient, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed for an anniversary. Traveled all the way from Oahu (Kailua) to finally see the last island we had never visited before. Did not eat dinner at the restaurant but it was quite crowded so I am assuming it is good.

The yoga was a great touch and I loved the fact it didn't feel "Marriott" or "Hilton" at all. Service was excellent - very friendly, polite and attentive (and continued this way after my stay when I left my sunglasses behind).
