We booked the Travaasa Hana for one night because it was the one nice hotel available. After arrival, we decided to extend another night and that made the experience really special.   We liked the price and that the rooms were spacious. We loved having two balconies and that the room had dishes and a kitchen if we wanted to cook. The location was close to the strip and trolley stop right in front of the door. There was also a convenient ABC in the lobby.   Handy location for shopping and being near a larger supermarket, with the kitchnette, we could prepare meals in the room rather than eat out each night. Rooms were reasonable - nothing flash but definitely value for money. Free internet was awesome and not included in many other places we checked out. I had a problem with the air conditioner in my room making clunking sounds when turned off and I was all prepared to demand a new room, however, after reporting it to the front desk it was fixed by maintenance by the time I returned in the afternoon.   Stayed here for 1 night just to sleep after a late night flight in before moving onto the beach front. Staff were friendly and offered us a free upgrade. Room was very clean though dated. Although away from the beach it is really only a few minutes away and you can still see the ocean. The rooms were clean [very important], we had a corner room that had 2 ac units, and the there were multiple electrical outlets for charging our various electronic devices.   we were originally concerned about previous reviews of no air conditioning and noisy roosters. the only night that was uncomfortable was the first nite. we cranked up the fans and made sure everything was open and it was fine after that.   The Seaside Hotel was perfect for my stay in Waikiki. The room may be small for some, but the size was fine for me. The pictures are true to what you get. There are not a whole lot of extra amenities but I was only there to shower and sleep. The bed was comfortable and thank goodness for the a/c during the humid week I was there.
