Me and my partner had a very lovely stay at the sunfold...we had a very warm welcome.. breakfast was lovely....the bed was sooooo comfortable, best nights sleep ever, hoping to go back soon. Being just across the road from the beach and only 5 minutes from the shops! Great views from the top floor rooms. Well worth the climb!! Owners made you very welcome. The proprietor offered a room with no stairs, as I requested if possible. She was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Wi fi was available free.

Kids had fun racing up them, kept us fit. Bed was very uncomfortable. WC was very cramped and dusty. Decor a little shoddy. Nothing to dislike here. Just basic value for money B&B. The general lack of on street available car parking. There was nothing we didn't like. Room a bit dated. Room on the small side on suite small the bar needs to be open after nine for people to b able to come back and relax. too many stairs to balcony room. lack of parking. No parking and room a bit small. Poor curtains let in the light so I woke at 4.30. Nothing. One reason I booked with Sunfold was 'vegetarian option' stated for breakfast. Menu did in fact state 'vegetarian option', however it seems the option was 'normal full English breakfast but without the meat' so not really a vegetarian option. It would have been nice to have been given a substitute e.g. vegetarian sausage & bacon. As vegetarians we pay the same price as meat eaters but don't get given a vegetarian full English breakfast. Rest of breakfast was good. no wifi in range at room, room was very hot overnight due to outside temperature, very basic facilities, dated interior. Room (8) was rather smallwith the ensuite being very compact. The fan in the ensuite was very noisy and the toilet took a long while to refill which could be heard very clearly in the room. The sea view room was disappointing not worth the extra due to the deralict building right opposite the window. hotel looked tired. Room was small and bed was up against bathroom door.had to squeeze past bed to get into on suite stubbed my toe on bed leg several times. smell of damp. Cramped wc, no fresh towels, sink in bedroom with no storage. in need of a proper decorator as way to much poor DIY throughout. Smelt of cigarets on entry, a bit like a run down bedsit. Tired, the rooms and decor are tired. Lack of attention to detail, cobwebs, peeling wallpaper, light bulbs missing, poor wiring (17th Edition, you're joking), carpeted loo (smelly), lukewarm breakfast. shower room too small,shower head held on with cable ties,toilet seat loose about to fall off,room 7 ,also ground floor room cold and damp. breakfast cold ,tea cold,no white toast. The hotel in general looked tired and run down. The room was dirty, the shower tray filled up with water and the toliet was not in the room. I think this hotel needs a good clean and re decoration through out. parking it said room for 4 cars only place for 2...needs up dating. The mattress was lumpy and was stained under the sheets. The shower was mouldy and the bathroom tiles were cracked. It was advertised with parking, when we arrived we were told to park on a near by street corner, I was extremely disappointed with the overall facilities and no parking, travelling with a disabled person it was very difficult with no parking. I really didn't even feel that it was worth 3 stars.

Please note children under the age of 5 cannot be accommodated at the property. Guests over the age of 14 will be considered adults in the occupancy. Children between 5 and 14 can only be accommodated in the Family Room.
