  What is not to like ? The staff make you so welcome as soon as you walk through the door Meals are to my taste, beds are comfortable everything worked. Staff participated in the surprise and we had a lovely evening/night at the hotel. The hotel is very old however, I was pleasantly surprised how clean everything was.   I loved the atmosphere and decor with all the history of the school. Theroom was very comfortable. We were visiting our daughter in stirling asshe has had a baby we hope to return - Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. restaurant food very good.

  We needed an overnight stopover near to Stirling on a Pitlochry to Ludlow journey. This was ideal-no nonsense-good value for money. The feature we liked best was the faultless detailed personalised letter at the property telling us everything logistic that we needed to know.related to our stay. There was plenty of room even with the double bed, two single beds and a cot! The room was completely ready for us including the cot set up and lots of towels.   The hotel was very interesting and had a real antique look about it. The bedrooms were well appointed with ;nice soaps towels etc... they even provided Sherry in the room...lovely. The bed was a kingsize madfe of 2 single beds... hence an un comfortable bit in the middle...I hate that but otherwise everything else was fab.
