  My stay albeit just overnight was a very pleasurable experience. The service was second to none. Coffee was prepared on my arrival with a selection of cakes at no additional cost. The dinner was excellent and the staff very attentive.   Owner very welcoming and took the trouble to ring a local eatery for us to book a table for our evening meal on arrival. Lovely location and views across valley to hills, we watched a firework display on the other side of the hills from the terrace on our last evening with a glass of wine - very nice! A luxury standard guest house, good breakfast.... mitä ihmiset sanovat » You can apparently order an evening meal but we did not use that service. Lovely gardens and terrace areas to sit and watch the Peak Rail trains go b - No attention to detail had been spared. Lots of thoughtful touches such as bath robes, champagne in ice bucket on arrival, binoculars on windowsill to watch wildlife in garden, extensive range of DVD's. Our welcome was very warm and friendly.

  John and Gilly are fantastic hosts and make you feel really welcome. The cottage is beautiful as is the location and is exactly the sort of place my fiance and I love. We have stayed in many a boutique before now and I can tell you with great confidence, that River Cottage comes extremely high on the list, only to be beaten by Kegworth House on va... mitä ihmiset sanovat » lue for money. Having said that the breakfast at River Cottage would take some beating so we'll call it a draw. Wonderful stay and will definitely be - Very friendly & hospitable cover staff whilst owners were away. Location perfect for surrounding area. House & garden fantastic. Good parking. Very clean, well appointed rooms. Fabulous breakfast. All the little details well thought out. Best B&B I've ever stayed at.

  Location, cleanliness and spaciousness of the apartment very impressive. Having stayed in holiday apartments before, it's rare to have such large separate living / dining rooms and kitchens. Bathroom facilities impressive. Location quiet yet deceptively central. On your website a previous guest (only one) had complained about the length of the beds... mitä ihmiset sanovat » . I am 6ft. 1in. tall and had no difficulties. - the penthouse apartment was really nicely decorated with attention to detail shown in the vases and pictures on the walls, and it had a lovely comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. we particularly enjoyed the jaccuzzi bath and the under floor heating which really made a difference in the bathroom

  The couple at Mardon House were brilliant people, they were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. They were really helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our room was outstanding and worth every penny. - The room was excellent, the owners were lovely, and the full english breakfast was to die for.
