The Pitlochry Dundarach is a beautiful hotel in a picturesque setting with a friendly, helpful staff, great location and clean, quiet rooms. I wish we had time to stay longer. It is within walking distance to the main street downtown and two distilleries. I'd highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with great panoramic views. Staff were very helpful and gave my daughter an easter egg which i thought was very good. Plenty of garden space for the wee one to run around in and was delighted to visit the Chickens and play with Smudge the cat.

I have an electric car and although the hotel does not have a dedicated charging point the owner was only too happy to help me out with an extension lead etc. Would definitely stay again. Great views as well. Location, well-maintained, food. We come regularly to Pitlochry for theatre and countryside and this is one of the best all-round hotels we have found. The Atholl Palace is more impressive but more expensive and less convenient for theatre. Lovely, clean big spacious bedroom and bathroom with shower. Traditional furniture and 4 poster bed within original part of hotel. Great views from window. Owners and staff very attentive. Very clean hotel throughout!. this is second time we have been for a break to this hotel and we love it the staff were lovely the bedrooms dining area and lounge are a delight will be back again hopefully soon. The breakfast was fantastic, both the food and the service. I haven't seen a spread like that in ages!! Really loved the quiet and beautiful setting, and the garden was lovely. good staff in dinning room, no fuss, they didnt need supervision,went about their duties in a very friendly and efficient way. breakfast arrived exactly as ordered ,and hot. The two others in our party had a bathroom light shade which was in the way of the door. no negatives. no shower !!!!!. Nothing. Windows in our room needed attention so that they open and close properly. If being picky would say that the short cut to town could be better signposted but we enjoyed the wee walk into town and found the shortcut on way back. Nothing to dislike. nothing. nothing. Nothing. It was sort of unmemorable, lots of older people, a bit 'stuffy' for our tastes. Could have had a better variety of food on the bar menu. Nothing. a little more expensive than I would normally pay. Can't think of anything. We booked two rooms one of which did not have a hook for the shower or a shower screen (room 27). A bit on the expensive side. Would have been good if there was an outside area for sitting while having a coffee/beer etc. There wasn't a lot of life about the hotel during the day. No do not disturb signs on door. Meal times restrictive. Accessing hotel after certain times unclear hiw to get in and bar times restrictive. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. Wi-fi only worked in the lobby. Nothing, sash windows could do with a prop to keep them up - really minor!!!. Fixed shower head. no negatives. Food quality could be improved. Dinner was average and breakfast was the same. The cooked breakfast was poor and minimal choice due to a missing delivery. bar meal area very small. the a la carte menue was not value for money Definately not a la carte food Breakfast was amasing loved it. Just a bit of a walk into town after a busy day. Resident bar closed at 23.00 A few residents were there so should stay open to cater.
