We liked the friendly staff,the beautiful restaurant, the tasteful Victorian decor and the position right on the seafront and proximity to shops.We liked the delicious food,the chef is first class.It was 'Alice Day' whilst we were there.The hotel staged 'The Mad Hatter's Tea Party' as a publicity photo shoot.We were fortunate enough to see this.It was really charming with Lewis Carroll's characters in this authentic setting, the actual place where the original Alice Liddell had actually stayed .
kaikki arvostelut » The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped with Molton Brown toiletries which is always a bonus. Nice corner bath too. A few of us dined in the restaurant Sunday. Food very good as was the extensive wine list. The staff and owner were very friendly so will definitely return again. Friendlyness andattention of staff and attention to detail. They also new and referred to you by name.Important in our view. Room was excellent and "well stocked" An all together great stay and we ll go again! Food was also excellent and nicely presented. Friendly and considerate staff.Comfortable room.Outstanding food. Tasteful hotel decor.Very convenient for sea and shops. Tour buses start just across the road.I certainly hope to return. I liked the decor,welcome, comfort, thoughtful touches in the bedroom eg fresh milk and home baked shortbread. Bedroom a little dated but we knew when we booked hotel it was situated at the back. Spotless room. Nothing. I had requested a "twin" room, but on arrival the double-bed had to be altered. Bath water not hot. Not for young children. Too formal and quiet. Room 1 - bathroom (toilet rather cramped for room) would have liked easy chair that we could sit in. Wine prices very high. Bed was too soft for us. Seagulls. Bathroom too cramped for the price of the room. Bedroom a little too small. We enjoyed our stay!. luke warm breakfast. The seagulls!. Bedroom very small. Very narrow bed, presumably so because the room would not accommodate a full-size one. Shower produced only a weak stream of water. Luxury details seemed tacked on to not-very-nice standard outfitting.
