We really appreciated the upgraded room to sea-view, the hotel was very clean and we loved the leisure facilities - lovely indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna! Excellent breakfast. We would definately stay again and the room price was very reasonable too. Bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch too!. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in luxurious surroundings. We were lucky enough to be up graded to a room with a sea view, as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary.

The hotel was very typically british, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Drinks were expensive but this was expected. The room was comfortable although smaller than expected, but we did have a room at the back of the building.Nice bright room and frendly staff. Nice pool and not busy. Service good from reception but dining room staff more worried about going home than serving you coffee after your meal. The large size of the room, and the use of the pool, sauna etc. staff very friendly and polite, gave a good service. Breakfast was good value. Shopping. food. nice breakfast, clean room. My only real adverse comment was during dinner and after dinner in both the restaurant and lounge area there was no music not even background music which made the atmosphere a wee bit dull. Car parking was limited at the back of the hotel, howver we did manage to get the last space.Room rate slightly expensive, suppose this is the UK. We initially thought that the size of the bedroom was on the small size, but on the other hand we were really pleased with the balcony, and the size of the bathroom. We were quite disappointed that the beauty parlour services were only open a few days of the week, unfortunately on the days we were not there.Not enough parking. we stayed in room 308, we turned off all the heating in the room, including the towel rail in the bathroom, but the room was stifling, would dread to stay in that room in the summer, we had all windows open, but had to lower due to seagulls, one of cleaning staff said heat was because all old pipes on that side, think rooms on that side should have fans, (ceiling fans) for comfort, could not sleep because of heat, and it is winter!!!. Less parking space. We would have liked earlier and more information on car parking. The service at the bar was slow as only one bar staff on. I tried to eat in restaurant for dinner on my arriaval, but again no staff around in restaurant to seat me and bar staff busy, so I had to go out. However service in general was fine and it is a lovely hotel in nice setting. Would stay again. The reception area was not the best laid out area, and was not ideal if more than two persons were being attended to at the same time.I went to use the fitness room which is contained within the building but owned by another company only to be told I could not use changing rooms and that I should walk down through the hotel in a white bath robe that was supplied in the room, franky quite ridiculous. We were attracted to the hotel by the concept of panoramic views. Our room overlooked the car park and waste bins. Only after unpacking and having a cup of coffee were we informed that on payment of an additional £30 per night we could enjoy the views I believe that the hotel missed an unique marketing opportunity. Lots of vacancies then why not spoil the guests, give them rooms with a view and we. No reasonably priced set dinner. Limited parking. Yes, the fact that it took staff approx 1 hour to have the heating available to use in my room and bathroom, and being offered a temporary heater (twice) when I had already declined this offer..Staying in a 4 star hotel I expect the heating to work no matter what the season. being woke up at 6am by the noise from the laundry arriving in the area below our room. Thhe only issue with my stay was that there was a piece of troughing missing just above the window of my room and it was dripping all night and kept me awake and the bad weather caused the windows to rattle in the wind. As I have said The price was high for the standard I have paid Less fora much higher standard of room and Hotel -Your standard was not poor. dining room manager. Very noisy in the room due to a service duct in the room. unable to sleep due to noisey room. there appeared to be no sound proofing in the bedroom. awake most of the night. There was a wedding party which took over the hotel and left few facilities for guests - noise was a problem until the early hours, Room was ok but disappointing for the money. Let them not claim that parking is "possible". The car park is tiny, and we had to park a considerable distance from the hotel.
