I walked into the centr - Alistair was by far the most hospitable and friendly host we've met on our trip so far. Even racing around after breakfast and looking after his sick partner he still had time to stop and chat about Scotland's history and about Stirling Castle. He even advised us on a better route to reach our destination because it was more scenic- which is was! The room was big and the bathroom as well.   After reading some reviews I was a little worried about staying here but please don't let the bad reviews put you off. My stay was wonderful. Easy to find, the receptionist who greeted us was polite, and helped us pay for our parking. Excellent - All staff extremely friendly and helpful. Atmosphere very welcoming. Hot water available all the time, fresh towels daily and room cleaned thoroughly. Super breakfast. Internet access, couldn't have asked for more, really enjoyed our stay.

Situated near Kelvingrove Art Gallery, which is easily reached on foot through Kelvingrove park, a lovely 10 minute stroll. Supermarket is also nearby. The bed was comfortable but I helped myself to a second duvet a) because I'm old and chilly. b)because it was very cold weather c) because I didn't know how to turn on the radiator! (Pathetic) d) I really appreciated having two comfortable armchairs for when my granddaughter came to spend a morning with me.
