We were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in and he promptly showed us to our room on the first floor. The room was very quiet, spacious and has an updated bathroom with shower. Tv and free internet which was great. It was a 10-15 minute walk from the train station but if you aren't able to do so it would be a short cab ride. The owner served a delicious traditional Scottish breakfast in the morning. We stayed two nights and had dinner at the Joy of Taste which I highly recommend.
kaikki arvostelut » Perfect location for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. Naim was the best host we had out of six B&Bs we stayed at during our three week Scotland trip. He provided a lot of valuable information each morning regarding the area based on our plans for the day. The twin room had a great view of Inverness Castle at night. Ample portions at breakfast were delicious and provided an ideal start to a day of touring around. Very well situated, near Inverness City Center, clean, very good breakfast, lovely host who speaks english and french, Cairngorms and the Great Glen nearby, this is a very good value guesthouse, very practical for your Highlands explorations!. Stayed 4 nights. Loved the extras like biscuits, hot chocolate, bottled water, choices of teas; fresh fruit, extensive breakfast. Conveniently located, short walk to city centre across river on footbridge. Friendly knowledgeable host. Armadale is well located for both the city centre and the Eden Court which is the ultimate venue for all sorts of things. It was a nice and quiet street in Inverness which is a brilliant and very friendly place. Excellent location. Very nice room. Excellent breakfast. Very good transports, n°B2 bus in front of Post Office, to Culloden Battle Field, is a must if you like Scotland and the Scots, it is their history. We got the top-floor twin room, which has sloping ceilings above the beds and we hit our heads several times. The room is not very large and should probably be offered cheaper. Some of the fittings such as in the shower dedicated for my single room, the shower head would not lock on its adjustment bar. The bathroom was a bit small and dark. nothing. Lack of on-site parking (wasn't a problem most of the time). Room was a bit small (for a family packing for 2 weeks abroad). Breakfast no bacon big miss. apart from the cold weather ....nothing !. Pillows were a bit firm Room was a bit cramped with two beds - hard to imagine more than 2 people staying comfortably. Nothing. A minor point, but in our room the television was mounted too high on the wall for comfortable viewing. not that I didn't like- but would have preferred an en-suite bathroom rather than one down the corridor. Unfortunately we were in the attic space, which required a lot of stairs (although it is a nice space). Fortunately the staff offered to carry our (very heavy) luggage up and down for us. Nothing to dislike. absolutely nothing. Nothing. Drunk guest at 3am banging about. we were on the ground floor Heating wasn't controlled in the room. Bathroom was not en suite, needed to cross a shared corridor. Noisy pub across the road, but the owner of Armadale is not to blame for that!. sloping cieling in attic room,kept bumping our heads. Full Scottish breakfast did not include bacon :(. Private bathroom was not ensuite but halfway down the stairs.
