  We were there at Easter, so no business people and almost no tourists. And we loved: the two-storey twin bedroom with seaview on two sides (chose room no. 302!), the more than friendly staff creating a real bed and breakfast atmosphere, the beach in front of us and also the kind of old-fashioned furnishing.   We received a very warm welcome and found Fern Lodge to have all the facilities we required. The location is ideal as a base for exploring the local area and the helpful advice from the proprietor led to some of the best fish and chips we have ever tasted. We were travelling to France early the next morning before the start of breakfast so we were given a takeaway breakfast for the journey! Holiday Inn will definitely be our preferred hotel choice for our next visit!
