We were in rooms 5 and 9 at 7-9 Portland Street. Both rooms were clean and tidy. We were pleasantly surprised to have en-suite facilities in both as we were expecting a shared bathroom. Each room included towels, toiletries, tea/coffee with biscuits, fridge and microwave. The staff were friendly and responded promptly to requests. Very good value for the amount we paid. I lost my key in my car, I rang up And there was somebody there within
20 mins to give me another key, luckerly I found the key in daylight
next morning. The maps on how to find the hotel. The free wifi for the
internet, very helpfull and good instructions on how to get in.
The room was well equipped and very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The Hotel is close to the town centre so very convenient. Just note that
letsbookhotel.com give me the address as 18 Portland Street this is not
correct and it is the Central Hotel.
Really nicely presented little room with a fridge and microwave. On-site
parking. Large room, big window. Friendly and helpful reception :)
I paid £25 for night, which seemed about right. I read others paid more, though.
Staff very helpful. Everything catered for microwave, fridge and TV. Shower in room handy. Stay was very practical for me. Some small dislikes since you asked but no real complaints. Would stay their again.

Not something the hotel can control unless double-glazing is fitted. The street is quite noisy due to the pub at the corner and kebab shop across the road. This did not affect the younger children but it meant I did not sleep very well. Ear plugs recommended!.
The one way sistem it was a nightmare (not your fault) the price going
up instead of down for an extra night which I didn't take.
The only complaint I have is that the toilet didnt flush properly. And
it was a shared toilet, so quite awkward.

Someone having 'trouble' getting to landing toilet and back into their room at 0230 shuffling outside my door woke me.
Microwave is hit and miss if it works and no instructions? worked on some setting long enough.

as shop mentioned as a focal point hasn't existed for over 12 mths I
expected more from a large organisation.
Parking a real problem took the price value higher.
as per previous experience, you arrive to find the staff out back smoking. still marks on hallway carpets where cleaners have squirted bleach everywhere.
minimal size quilt, bleach stains on stair carpet.
rotten skirting boards, nothing to prevent drips from shower into room carpet,from the shower door or the user- i.e small tiled area.poor toilet would not flush- was same 2 years ago.
