  We were on a National Trust property tour and this was an ideal stop off point to visit three in that area. Very friendly helpful staff. Very pleasant chalet type rooms. Super food and beer! Also close to visit Cambridge.   The Waterman is a very pleasant place to stay if you're an easy-going person: it's clean and comfortable, but the bathroom's shared so you have to be OK with possibly waiting for the shower and the toilet. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (especially Alex - hello! :-D).   We had a really good stay for the folk festival. The rooms were lovely, the beds super comfortable and the cooked breakfast definitely the spot in the morning. We would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay a bit further out from the city center.   I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort of the room. The owner was very nice and the decor was lovely. It is easy access to a bus route which runs to either the tube or Heathrow Airport Terminals 1,2,3 and 4. Recommend that information for Terminal 5 be added to directions to and from Heathrow.   We stayed in a family room in the annexe, next-door to the main lodge - very warm & clean. It was great to park our car right beside our bedroom window & have our dog stay. The en-suite 'rain-shower' gave out plenty of hot water, any time of day. Complimentary toiletries & spotless white towels were much appreciated. Pr - The convenience near the Business and Science Parks, and with a bicycle: close to the city centre. Large room, little external noise, good breakfast. Lights, shower, door lock, some TV channels - worked. Efficient, courteous and effective staff at breakfast.
