The house was lovely and had a very relaxing atmosphere, we enjoyed sitting in the cosy lounge next the fire whist sipping on a complementary sherry. The breakfast was very tasty. Heather was the perfect host, ensuring we had everything we needed and recommending places to eat out and things to see. From the minute we arrived we received a very friendly welcome. At Low House there was a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. The owners had thought of every small detail in ensuring our every need was catered for making our stay a pleasurable, relaxing one.I booked this hotel as a treat for my parents, they said everything about lowhouse was fantastic, hotel staff were really helpful and welcoming, the room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, would recommend!. Ambience, friendliness and helpfulness of owner, cleanliness, location. All in all a lovely and relaxing place to stay...house was very comfortable, making for a very relaxing break; hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Very friendly, welcoming hotel. I am particularly tall and do not fit well in baths...if I had realised that there was no shower I would have reconsidered my booking. Saying that however, I realise it would not be a problem for the majority of guests.There were problems with the WiFi and we couldn't connect to the Internet. It seems that the owner had a specific problem with here connection while we were staying in the Low House. Only down point was there was no shower in the blue room and I found it difficult to wash my hair.Heating in the room didn't work in the cold morning. no mixer taps, let alone shower (but otherwise all lovely!). no shower !. No shower and separate hot and cold water. The fact that it was very 'cold' feeling and further than originally stated from Windermere- not an easily walkable distance.
