  We particularly liked the location and facilities within the hotel - close to the airport, sea and shops. The staff were friendly and gave excellent service. The room was spacious with panoramic sea views. Breakfast selection was first class and the trendy bar was friendly. Lobby entertainment with the piano was enjoyable.   The hotel is about 15 minutes by taxi. The area has many restaurants and shopping is great. No hassles like at the Grand Bazaar. Just nice shops. Don't miss the Carousel Mall.   This is the eighth time we have stayed at the Grand S. It is our favorite "layover" stop when passing through Istanbul. The location is perfect. The Metro connects the airport to the Buyuk Otogar (main bus staion) just across the highway. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms spotless. We have already booked our next stay there. - All staff at the Hotel were helpful and courteous. I was greeted you arrival and the bellboy made sure I settled into the room by showing me how the tv and wifi worked. Breakfast was a very varied buffet and very enjoyable. Comfortable room with wifi and satellite tv and heating which was lovely as it was snowing outside on my last 2 days. I would stay here again.

  First the location of the hotel is great (city center, major attractions close to hotel). Second the hotel staff is really friendly and helpfull.
